This was ahead of their CUFA Cup match against Marumo Gallants, set to be played on Sunday in Bloemfontein. Maart emphasized that his main focus is on helping the club win a trophy this season.
"If you take note of social media it will kill you. Because at the end of the day if you read those comments they will hit your emotions. After all, you are a human being. So I don't go there. I don't know what's going on to be honest with you. I really don't mind social media. I mind about my performance on the field of play. That's the important thing for me. Not social media," Maart told journalists.
The South African midfielder also stated that as the captain of the club, he doesn't feel pressured to perform because they play as a team.

"To be honest, the coach made good changes when he came in and everyone in the team wants to do good for the club. The pressure is equal on each and every player so that we achieve what the coach wants to achieve. But it's a bit harder on me as a leader because I have to step ahead and lead but that's not pressure. It is responsibility that comes with playing for Kaizer Chiefs as well," Maart observed.
With three league games played already, Amakhosi have won two, beating Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu, while losing to the Brazilians. On Sunday, they will be planning on another win against Gallants in the CUFA Cup during this FIFA break as they prepare for a cup game against SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout.
Maart's focus on his performance and leadership at Chiefs underscores his commitment to the team's success. Despite social media criticism, Maart remains dedicated to helping Amakhosi achieve their goals this season. As the team prepares for their upcoming matches, his leadership and resilience will be crucial.
