GARDEREN, NETHERLANDS - JULY 11: Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi looks on during the Pre-Season Friendly match between FC Utrecht and Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs have returned from their two-week pre-season training camp in the Netherlands, where they participated in several friendly matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
Sources close to the club have indicated that both the technical team and management are highly satisfied with the squad's performance and conduct during their European tour.
The insiders added that the pre-season training, match preparation, and friendly games have left the club optimistic about achieving better results than last season.
"We had a very exciting pre-season, I must say. It was a great space for the team to be in so that coaches can strategise and players blend in and connect. The type of teams we played was great competition. It was very important that we expose our team, and we are excited about the work that was done with a great opportunity for the new guys to integrate. It was also good for our youth to come in and show their hunger. So, it was successful in terms of the playing style and for the technical team to get some work done," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second insider indicated that despite already securing new signings, the club's recruitment drive isn't necessarily complete, with the attack remaining an area of focus.

"Yes, the club has already signed six players this season but it's believed that the head coach and his technical team still need at least one experienced striker to help them mainly in the CAF Confederation Cup and management is willing to sign another striker if that's what the technical team needs so that they have a well-balanced squad which will compete in all the tournaments, " the second insider told the Siya crew.
Last season, Amakhosi conducted their pre-season preparations in Turkey.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment regarding their pre-season assessment, but received no official response at the time of publishing.
