Kaizer Chiefs will finally play their CAF Champions League encounter this evening after the game was previously postponed.
Amakhosi's Cameroonian rivals, PWD Bamenda were set to lock horns with Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Friday afternoon, December 04, in the second leg of the first preliminary round in the CAF Champions League competition.
However, Bamenda requested through CAF a postponement of the fixture, which has since been moved to to today, with kick-off time scheduled for 19h00.
"It's not ideal conditions to prepare the team. We have done all our preparations and have met all the regulations – we are just waiting to play the match. The situation has an impact on our overall setup including the many upcoming fixtures," Hunt said on Chiefs' official website.
"We have not included 'Rama' in this match as a precaution ahead of our next league match. Still out are Samir Nurkovic and Reeve Frosler – they are both recovering from an assortment of injuries," he confirms. "The Bamenda team is a typical Central African team, tough and big frame. We have a strategy to counter their physical strength."
"I just wish things could have been done better because they knew well ahead of time that they needed to travel to South Africa. Now we moved the game with a day and thereafter our kick-off time also changed. We will do our best under these conditions to advance to the next round."
