With Christmas now done and dusted, football fans all over South Africa will be looking forward to the new year, and Kaizer Chiefs fans in particular have plenty to smile about.
The Glamour Boys are currently seven points clear at the top of the Absa Premiership table at the break, and Ernst Middendorp's side ended the year on a nine-game unbeaten run in the league that stretches back to September.
Chiefs will be back in action on January 4 when they take on SuperSport United, and the club have already confirmed that they have big plans for the new year as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Jessica Motuaung, Amakhosi's marketing director, has thanked the supporters for their undying support over the year and admitted that they're much happier now than they were back in May at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
