There is interest in a Kaizer Chiefs youngster who has been doing well at a club who are keen to have him in their plans for next season.

As Chiefs decided to have some youngsters from their development join the first team under coach Gavin Hunt in the likes of Njabulo Blom, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Happy Mashiane and Lebohang Lesako among others, Sibusiso Milazi has been loaned to GladAfrica Championship side Sekhukhune United for the second half of the 2020/21 season after the young forward starred for Amakhosi's Multichoice Diski Challenge side.

As reported in edition 1214 of Soccer Laduma, the ambitious second tier side is keen on extending the loan deal for next season, especially if the top of the table side gets promoted to the topflight.

According to sources in the know, Amakhosi could be open to extending the 19-year-old player's loan spell, with the indications that provisional talks have already been held.

While the Soweto giants do see Milazi as one of their future talents, the club is allowing the youngster time to gain the necessary experience to be ready for the first team.

"Sibusiso Milazi is a talented player and he has an eye for scoring goals. At first, there was reluctance from Chiefs about loaning him to Sekhukhune, but in the end, a decision was reached for him to join the club for him to continue with his growth. Alex Bapela (Sekhukhune technical director) had very fruitful negotiations with Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung and a deal was concluded," said a source.

"Sekhukhune is keen on extending the loan deal and that is part of the plan with Chiefs. The parties will again discuss the matter closer to the time and make a decision, especially if Sekhukhune win promotion to the DStv Premiership. He is one of the players that the club would like to have for the long term," the source added.

Milazi was in the startling line-up as Babina Noko drew 0-0 with the University of Pretoria at Absa Tuks Stadium on Saturday.
