Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma could find himself at the exit door of the Naturena outfit at the end of the current season, according to information gathered by the Siya crew.
The lanky net-minder appeared on course to claim the number one jersey under Stuart Baxter, but has since struggled for game-time under Arthur Zwane and has dropped down the pecking order, playing second fiddle to both Brandon Peterson and veteran Itumeleng Khune.
To further compound his situation, the Soweto giants offered 20-year-old youth international Bontle Molefe a four-year professional contract and promoted their youth product to the first team at the beginning of the current season.
Molefe is a highly regarded shot-stopper with an imposing physical presence and those close to Amakhosi are convinced that the club has brought on board a future goalkeeper with the attributes of Joseph 'Banks' Setlhodi and Itumeleng Khune combined.
Now, news reaching the Siya crew's desk is that after weighing up his options under the current prevailing circumstances, Bvuma has opted to request either a loan move elsewhere or seek a permanent move to where he can get regular game-time.
There is however, a third option open to the Limpopo-born star, who turns 26 next month, and that is to fight tooth and nail to win the number one jersey.
As for which route he decides to take, Soccer Laduma will be watching developments with keen interest.
