Cole Alexander has been linked with an exit from Kaizer Chiefs, but the stumbling block in his departure from Naturena has since been revealed to the Siya crew.
With just six appearances in all competitions and with the season now well into its final stretch, talk of a possible exit for Alexander from the Soweto giants has grown increasingly louder.

It's understood that SuperSport United are amongst the teams looking at the experienced midfielder in the event that he leaves the Glamour Boys, which is a real possibility given his limited game-time under Arthur Zwane this season.
The only stumbling block for the player, as explained by Siya sources in the know, is the 33-year old's salary package at Amakhosi.
According to information received by this publication, Alexander is believed to be on a lucrative deal at the side and is placed in the higher quadrants of earners at the club.
With an exit from Naturena now a real possibility, Siya sources have indicated that the former Polokwane City man would have to take a significant pay cut if he were to leave the club at the end of the campaign.

Another option for Alexander would be to see out the remainder of his contract with Chiefs, although he could request a loan move next season should his current situation continue at the club.
With one more season still left on his contract, it remains to be seen whether Alexander will bide his time at Chiefs, or take a pay cut and seek regular game-time elsewhere.
