Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Buti Sithole, is backing Ernst Middendorp's side to win the Absa Premiership title this afternoon despite the threat posed by Mamelodi Sundowns in their search for glory.
With Amakhosi going into their final match of the season against Baroka FC carrying a three-goal advantage in goal difference, Sithole isn't worried by Downs' form which saw them score three goals in their previous match on Wednesday against Polokwane City, as they go for their clash against Black Leopards.
"Without a doubt it is going to Naturena. Chiefs shouldn't worry about Sundowns, and they should just win their match and take the trophy home. They should just score one goal and win the match. It's that simple as that," said Sithole.
While confident about Chiefs' chances to win the title, Sithole says he hasn't been entirely pleased with the team's style of play.
"I don't want to lie, the football that's being played – route one football – isn't pleasing to watch. The results are there and that's what is important, but the style of football played by Chiefs isn't to be proud of. The players are there, ball players like (Siphelele) Ntshangase, but the way the coach is selecting the team isn't convincing. Sometimes Billiat sits on the bench while experience is being needed in the team," he told the Sia crew.
