"What Itu (Khune) has done for this club and country is massive. There is no goalkeeper like Itu. For me personally, I am what I am today because of him. I used to train and play with the development side without a contract but Itu encouraged me and told me that he had been there and that I should just continue working hard and things will work out for me," Bvuma told the media.

"And I am here now because of him. If it happens that he retires there will be a lot that I will miss from him. He is a hard working person. Even now he still does extra work after training which helps him a lot and I will miss all that," Bvuma said, highlighting Khune's dedication and mentorship.

Bvuma also shared his excitement about being part of the 36-member Bafana Bafana provisional squad, viewing it as a significant milestone in his career.

"As I have said before. It's every player's dream to play for their national team. I am happy I am in the 36 but I have to work hard so that my form at club level can take me to the last 23. It's always a privilege to represent your country and I am happy that my work is being noticed," Bvuma added, emphasizing his commitment to earning his place in the final squad.

The relationship between Bvuma and Khune at Chiefs exemplifies the impact of mentorship in professional sports, with Khune's guidance and support playing a crucial role in Bvuma's development as a goalkeeper.

As Bvuma continues to grow and make his mark, both at the club and on the international stage, the lessons learned from Khune will undoubtedly remain a foundational part of his journey.
