Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has not been a regular for his club, while for the South Africa national team he has received preliminary squad call-ups so far.
However, Bvuma remains optimistic and determined, believing that his time to shine for Bafana Bafana will still come.

Addressing the media at Kaizer Chiefs Village in Johannesburg on Thursday morning ahead of their CUFA Cup match against Marumo Gallants on Sunday in Bloemfontein, Bvuma emphasized his commitment to working hard despite facing stiff competition.
He acknowledged that Rwandan goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is currently the number one at the club, while Ronwen Williams is SA's first choice.
"If you look at the last qualifiers, it exposed the goalkeepers but we are human beings at the end of the day and we make mistakes. I spoke to Veli (Mothwa) after that and he knows I support him. He made a mistake and even Ronza (Ronwen Williams) has made mistakes before. We make mistakes and we learn from there. No one is perfect at the end of the day. I don't think having a foreign goalkeeper at my club will jeopardise my chances of playing for the national team. I believe it's entirely up to me. For me, I just need to get my chance and play and I will be back in the national team again," Bvuma told the media.
Bvuma added that his journey to the national team must start with consistent performances at club level first.

"For me it's not about who plays but it's about the team. It's not about Ntwari or who plays it's about the team doing well. Fiacre (Ntwari) has been playing and doing well. So for me I don't have this thing of holding back because I am not playing. I keep on working hard knowing very well my chance will come," Bvuma concluded.
With the arrival of Ntwari and with Brandon Petersen being out injured, Bvuma has been the team's second-choice goalkeeper in the three league games played so far, with Ntwari conceding four goals in those matches.
Bvuma's determination and positive attitude reflect his commitment to both Chiefs and his aspirations for Bafana. As he continues to work hard and wait for his opportunity, his resilience and focus will be crucial in achieving his goals.
