What Transfermarkt Says:

When a then 18-year-old Petersen was promoted to the Ajax first team in the DStv Premiership, 'Biza' had a market value of €25 000 (±R504 000) though his value would rise over the period between 2014 and 2018. A move to Johannesburg beckoned where he joined Bidvest Wits and the keeper's stock rose rapidly. His move to Kaizer Chiefs in 2021 saw his market value propel to €450 000 (±R9m)!

Player's contract status:

Petersen signed a three-year contract with Amakhosi in 2021, which would last until June 2024. The 29-year-old is into the final year of his deal with the club though as reported by the Siya crew, there is talk of a new contract on the cards for the Cape-born star.

How Much In SA And Where?:

Petersen spent over a year on the sidelines after suffering a horrific leg break whilst on the books at Wits. He is currently at one of the best clubs in South Africa, with a move elsewhere at this stage highly unlikely. He also made the Chiefs number one goalkeeper his own.

How Much In Europe And Where?:

In August last year, the Siya crew reported that Petersen has had his name circulating in Europe for any clubs looking for a quality goalkeeper. But with the COVID-19 pandemic circulating the market, those conversations didn't pick up momentum.
