Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has revealed the type of striker the club are looking to sign this season.
The Soweto giants got their 2022/2023 DStv Premiership campaign off to a disappointing start after going down 1-0 to Royal AM on Saturday evening.
The likes of Yusuf Maart, Siyethemba Sithebe, Ashley du Preez and Zitha Macheke all started in the defeat to Royal AM, but the Chiefs tactician admitted they are still searching for a striker to suit their playing style.
"Yes we're still looking, you can see the way want to play. We don't want a striker that will come and be like the players that we have," Zwane told SuperSport after the game.
"We need someone who is strong on the ball, someone who is a good header of the ball, someone who can hold the ball for us to join in at high speed, then that will give us that different dimension.
"Right now we have more speedy players, if they can be a little but clinical like today it could have been a different story altogether," he added.
Chiefs will now turn their attention to Tuesday's DStv Premiership clash against Maritzburg United at the FNB Stadium.
