The agent of Sipho Mbule has commented on the future of the SuperSport United talisman amidst talk of interest from some of the big hitters in Mzansi.
Most recently, his name was even thrown in a list of targets for Kaizer Chiefs, who are preparing a shopping spree whe their FIFA ban is lifted in July.
Mamelodi Sundowns are also known admirers of the player that was on Thursday included in the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan later this month.
"I have not had a formal offer from anybody. All I can tell you is that there's talks of everybody being interested in him," his agent Mike Makaab of Prosport International told the Siya crew this week.
"When people ask me about Sipho, they ask what makes him different. He has the X-factor. Some players are top class, and then you have some that have something a little bit extra. I think that's what Sipho has."
Mbule's contract with SuperSport runs until June next year and the club is hoping to cash in on the 22-year-old post the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
"Football needs players with his sort of swagger. I think Sipho has got a great future and he has to stay focused and be extremely serious about his football. He needs to sleep and eat football and obviously nutrition is important," Makaab said.
"He has matured a lot as a person and I think he is finally understanding his potential. Now that he is doing so well, he needs to have a benchmark – to be a regular in the national team and the logical step would then be for him to go into Europe. And if he is in the Olympic squad, then he will have a wonderful platform to show the world what he is capable of doing. Sipho can play anywhere in the world, it depends on what he wants and how he applies his mind."
