Player's Financial Recon: Tsiki Ntsabeleng

Player's Financial Recon: Tsiki Ntsabeleng

Katlego 'Tsiki' Ntsabeleng has worked his way from a college player to an MLS baller with FC Dallas. Soccer Laduma recently caught up with the talented midfielder to talk all things dollars.

My first pay cheque sign on fee:

We don't have a signing on fee, but when you first sign, you get move-in stipend. So it's like $10,000. For you to like get your furniture or whatever you need for your apartment. It's also like a down payment for the apartment, food for the first couple of months or whatever the case may be depends on how you use it. But yeah, you get $10,000 up front.

My sponsor deals requests:

Unfortunately, I haven't had a sponsor or any requests yet.

My biggest bonus:

Yeah, for us it's depending on the contract yeah but for most college players, when you start a game, you get an x amount and if you guys win the game, you get an x amount. If you just stay on the bench and then you don't come on you get a lesser amount. If you stay on the bench and then you come on and then you get a little bit more than if you just stayed on the bench, so it just depends on your contract and where you're at. But I think I would say my biggest for the month is probably when I was playing a lot at the time I think in that I started like two games we won one of those and then the other time I came off the bench and I think we won one of them too, so I think probably around $3000 or $4000.

My dream car:

I think I'm into bigger cars now, more comfort and stuff so I mean, obviously, depending on the pay cheque or whatever but my, my dream car would be Like the Lamborghini SUV's. They call them the Lambo trucks or even the SUV Teslas. Those are pretty nice so I'm looking at those so hopefully it happens soon.

My clothing:

Because It has to be a pair of Jordans. I don't know maybe like $600. It depends on the color and then it gets more expensive But yeah, I think the expensive ones I have are the black and red ones. I don't usually wear them. Yeah, I like those.

My expensive date:

The most I have dropped on a date is probably I would say $200 to $250 on one date.
