My Blank Cheque: 3 Players Chiefs Should Sign

With Kaizer Chiefs left reeling from yet another disappointing season, fans, coaches and management have been left searching for solutions to the club's ongoing trophy drought. In light of this, Soccer Laduma spoke to Chiefs fan Tshemedi Molopo who revealed the three players he thinks Amakhosi should rope in.

Chiefs brought in 14 new players in the 2022/23 season, including the few that were promoted to the first team under Arthur Zwane.

There were signs of promise, but the fluctuating results became a regular occurrence, which saw the club being knocked out of two cup competitions and finishing in fifth place on the DStv Premiership standings.

With the club's trophy drought now stretching eight years, Tshemedi has revealed the players Chiefs should rope in to ease their woes.Thabo Cele – joined RKS Radomiak

The midfielder has been linked with a move since the time of Stuart Baxter. The Englishman at the time opted against roping in the KZN Academy graduate. Cele has since moved on to Polish Ekstraklasa side Radomiak Radom, where he has experienced a new lease on life. With Chiefs desperately looking to bolster their squad. It appears Cele still remains a viable option for the Glamour Boys according to their fans.

After a relatively quiet two-year stint with SuperSport United, Rayners is once again a man in demand and according to the club's fans, could be the answer to Chiefs' goal scoring woes.

The man nicknamed Ox has gone from experiencing relegation with Black Leopards to being one of the most sought-after players in the local game thanks to his forceful exploits in the heart of the Stellenbosch midfield. Much of the Cape club's success is down to Mthethwa's efforts in the heart of midfield and it comes as little surprise that Chiefs fans are keen on roping him into the set-up at Naturena.Sibongiseni Mthethwa of Stellenbosch
