FRIDAY DEBATE: Who Will Win The MTN8?

With the MTN8 final fast approaching, this week's Friday debate focuses on Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns and asks who will win it.

Pirates are the defending champions, but go into the clash on the back of some poor form of late and have to face a Sundowns side that has not lost a match this season. The Soweto giants were knocked out of the CAF Champions League, so their supporters will no doubt be expecting a victory to dry the tears of crashing out so early in the continental club competition. So, who will win it? Two former PSL players have their say on who they think will win this clash.

Mokete Tsotetsi - former Kaizer Chiefs defender

It's a tricky one. For me, I will give it Pirates. I am taking a risk with this one. I think Pirates have been playing well, but it's just that results have not been going their way. They have just been knocked out of the Champions League and I am sure they want to bounce back and defend their trophy. It's a tricky one, but I am going to give it to Pirates. Sundowns have been doing well, but at times I worry about their defence. I think Pirates will defend their title.

Thabiso Semenya - former Polokwane City defender

Masandawana will win it. They haven't been unbeaten in 32 games and I'm pretty sure they would want to keep that record. They have been dishing out good football, their style of play is on another level. On the other hand, Orlando Pirates have been struggling of late, scoring one goal out of four games. They will be under pressure to turn things around, but I don't see that happening at the expense of Masandawana. Sundowns are a moving train.
