Diski’s Favourite Aunty Carving Her Own Niche

Her company name Bokamoso Sports Agency is becoming one of the country's fastest growing stables thanks to the tenacious manner in which Bokamoso 'Aunty Diski' Nkomo conducts her business.

With a number of high-profile female athletes like Kaylin Swarts, Refiloe Jane, Rhoda Mulaudzi and many under her wing, it is very little surprise that these Banyana Banyana players and other star footballers are turning to Diski's favourite aunty.

After all, the Communications Science student is all about giving female footballers a voice and platform of self expression in the beautiful game – but she is no one-woman show.

In her corner is an all-female team of experts in Seipati Chauke, who is a company Director and Head Of Legal and Human Resources, Ofentse Pitso PR and Social Media Manager and Mpho Tlhalefo, who serves as the company's Mental Health Senior Counsellor.

With the female game gaining more and more prominence Nkomo has a crucial role to play in honing the next generation of football stars ensuring that their Bokamoso (futures) are bright.

"The outcry for equality and recognition of women is a universal challenge, and the sport industry is no exception. Till this day, women face inequality and do not have access to equivalent benefits as male athletes across all sporting boards. Despite the great strides and achievements that women in sports have obtained, women continue to be marginalized and overlooked, are not given enough recognition as their male peers," an official statement on their company website reads.

This and more outlines the plight of the bright-eyed Nkomo who aims to level the field for women across all sports.
