Watch: Rare Footage Of Pitso Mosimane's Playing Days Surfaces On Social Media

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will undoubtedly go down as one of the best coaches to have plied their trade on the African continent. However, with videos of his playing days hard to find, a rare clip of Mosimane scoring against a star-studded Kaizer Chiefs team has made the rounds online. Check it out!

As a player, "Jingles" played for local clubs such as Jomo Cosmos and Mamelodi Sundowns, but even in the current digital age, videos of football matches during the 1980s are not easily accessible.

In a recent clip that surfaced on Twitter, though, fans got to catch a glimpse of Mosimane in action as a player when he starred against a strong Amakhosi outfit.

According to the video's caption, the clip is from a game that saw Cosmos take on Chiefs in a 1988 league opener. The game was somewhat remembered for Gary Bailey's return to South Africa after he spent the majority of his career playing for Manchester United.

As things turned out, Mosimane became the first player to score against the Red Devils legend in South Africa, with a powerful left-footed strike that whistled into the back of the net.

Check it out!

Pitso caught sight of the clip, quote-tweeted the bit of nostalgia himself, and responded with: "Thanks Pule, I wish I could have my games and pictures playing. Funny that my children only started to believe that I played only when they see pictures posted by people on social media. Pls send more if you have to: pmosimane@gmail.com. Postage or collection costs on me."

What do you think of coach Pitso's stunning left-footed strike?
