The story
16 October was all about the legendary founder of the Phefeni Glamour Boys, Dr. Kaizer Motaung, who celebrated his 80th birthday on Wednesday.
Legends, former players, clubs and supporters from all corners of the country showed love to the one of African football's most noteworthy trailblazers.
Kaizer Chiefs sponsors Vodacom, Toyota South Africa and Kappa South Africa came to a standstill at their respective offices to commemorate a milestone birthday for the Soweto-born icon.
Each business had balloons with the number "80" and cupcakes to enjoy, with the club taking to Instagram to share videos of the Kappa and Toyota teams singing for the chairman:

Chiefs' social media pages were abuzz on Dr. Motaung's special day, as they shared a range of videos of SA celebrities, club legends, staff, and supporters paying tribute to the visionary.
The players and coaching staff also took time out of their preparations for their Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 clash against SuperSport United to honour Dr Motaung.
