The story

Earlier in January, the Brazilian star shared a image with the South African rugby player.

Both are global icons in the world of sport and signed with Roc Nation, who are only growing their database of sportsman with the likes of Endrick, LaMelo Ball and Kevin De Bruyne signed with the agency.

President of Roc Nations Sport International, Michael Yormark, met a with a number of journalists in Cape Town and shared insight into why he wanted Kolisi to meet the football superstar.

"I got to tell you something. I always wanted to put them together. Not because they were two iconic individuals, but because of their journeys. Even though they lived and were raised in different parts of the world, Brazil versus South Africa, I knew instant chemistry would happen when they met.

"Because of Vinicius journey, because of Siya's journey, and how they got to where they are. I got to tell you, when they met, so Siya went to the Real Madrid match and then after the match, Vini had a dinner for his family. We went there, and he invited us to join. It was an instant bond when these two guys met.

"Now Vini, you've got to remember, is just beginning to speak English. So Siya was concerned that whatever he said, Vini wouldn't understand but he is learning English very quickly now and so on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say he's around a 7.

"So everything that Siya said to him, he understood and they connected. It wasn't like they talked about rugby and football.

"They talked about community. They talked about their foundations. They talked about the Vini Institute, the Kolisi Foundation, impacting lives, racism. It was an extraordinary conversation and we were only going there for about a half hour," shared Yormark.

"We ended up staying for three hours Because Siya sat next to Vini just like this, and all they did was talk at the table. The following day, I left and Siya stayed, and Vini Jr invited him to his house and then they spent the next evening together for five or six hours.

"It was just remarkable when you see two iconic individuals that have the same background not talk about sport and talk about superficial things, but talk about impact. And the impact that both of them want to make within their communities globally. Then they start talking about how they can do things together, which was amazing.

"So I just wanted to share that with you because it was extraordinary. I knew that they would become good buddies and they have already. Hopefully, Siya invited them to come here to South Africa. And Vini would like to come and invited them to come on a safari. So hopefully, you'll see them in your community sooner than later."
