Having racked up his 600th career goal this week, a rare video of Lionel Messi's first professional goal emerges on social media.
Even then, you could see the Argentine superstar was destined for greatness. Check it out!
On 1 May 2005, FC Barcelona, led by Dutch coach Frank Rijkaard, were playing in a LaLiga fixture against Albacete.
Ronaldinho was pulling the strings for Barcelona, as the buck-toothed number 10 so often did.
Rijkaard introduced a long-haired, baby faced Lionel Messi in place of Samuel Eto'o.
Messi soon had the ball in the back of the net moments after coming on, having been put through by a trademark Ronaldinho lobbed pass. The goal however, was incorrectly ruled offside.
It didn't take long for Messi to introduce himself, as moments later, he scored an exact replica of the goal, again assisted by Ronaldinho.
After opening his account with a glorious lob, Messi has gone on to score a further 599 goals in for the Catalan club and registered his 600th strike for the club, after a brace against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
Do you think Messi is the greatest player of all time?
