The story

PUMA and Man City have today launched the Cityzens' Third kit for the 2025/26 season, showcasing a unique design that serves as a tribute to the year-long rainy conditions in Manchester.

This kit is for the city that plays in the rain. Manchester City is a symbol of the people, the culture, and the spirit of Manchester.

The new Third kit is designed for those who carry the club in their hearts, rain or shine. Grey skies may often be seen overhead in northern England's largest city, but they bring electrifying football to the pitch, whatever the weather.

The jersey and shorts feature a detailed all-over raindrop graphic, complemented by vibrant neon green accents along the neck, shoulders, and side panels. This design symbolises the standout quality of Pep Guardiola's impressive Manchester City team.

A gradient from green to blue flows down through the central PUMA logo and the club crest, extending into the socks to create a cohesive full-kit look that mirrors the iridescent nature of water.

Additionally, the Man City crest boasts a transparent finish that resembles water droplets on a window, serving as a subtle nod to its home. The kit conveys a poignant message from Manchester: "Even when it rains, we shine."

"Today is an exciting day, with the launch of this year's Third kit, just ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, and the Women's Super League starting next month. As part of our creative process, PUMA and the Club explore different design directions for each kit, taking inspiration from the city of Manchester, the club's history and other cultural influences,” said Man City's Serena Gosling, their Director of Retail & Licensing.

"We are looking forward to seeing the players wearing the kits on the pitch this season," she added.

"The people of Manchester have a deep-rooted love for football, as both a sense of pride and community belonging. This kit brings those two traits together to create a truly unique kit that does things a little differently. We decided to design a kit that not only embraces the rainy Manchester weather but also the fact that the fans stick by the team, 'Rain or Shine,'" said Marco Mueller, PUMA’s Senior Director of Product Line Management, Teamsport Apparel.

The Manchester City Third kit is available from PUMA.com, PUMA retail stores, Totalsports, Sportsmans Warehouse, Studio 88 and Takealot from 14 August. Pricing: Authentic players' shirt R2,299; Replica R1,399; Replica Junior R1,199.
