The story
Just a month and a bit after Bafana Bafana rising star Relebohile Mofokeng received a custom-designed jacket by Buhlebenkosi Salakuphathwa, the local designer has produced more heat for two up-and-coming Amakhosi stars.
Mfundo Vilakazi and Aden McCarthy were the latest ballers to get these sleek jackets, seemingly created to celebrate Amakhosi and their squad numbers.
Buhle, the CPUT-educated designer, presented two black zip-up jackets to Chiefs’ rising stars, which included the players' names on the back of the piece, the centre-piece of Amakhosi’s club crest and their squad numbers in the front.
Similar to what he did with Mofokeng, the promising designer shared a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes work that went into constructing the jackets, as well as dropping off the jackets to Vilakazi and McCarthy, who looked pleased with the final result.
