The story

Former Mamelodi Sundowns boss, Pitso Mosimane showed some love to a player that served him well during his time in Chloorkop, Khama Billiat.

Billiat played under Mosimane during his six years at Masandawana, where he managed to score a mammoth 48 goals with a 43 assists and swept the 2016 PSL awards by walking away with the Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Midfielder of the Season accolades.

The Zimbabwean baller's career team trophies all came from his time with the Tshwane giants, where he won 3 league titles, a Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout and famously, the CAF Champions League in the 2015/16 season.

Pitso responded to a post that acknowledged the 34-year-old attacker's Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League Player of the Month award for his recent showings with Yadah FC, sharing just how special he finds Billiat.

"Class is permanent. One of the best players I have ever coached. I phoned him for a full year, every week convincing him that I will give him support and platform to showcase his talent and that he is the one to help us win CAF Champions League," wrote Jingles, adding what he appreciates about Billiat's game:

"[He] scores, assists, recovers, steals lots of balls and [is] very strong on the ball despite his small frame. His first touch on bringing down an aerial ball was amazing. He really loved Hlompho Kekana's long passes (his goal vs Platinum Stars away)

"What a player to watch in training more than games. I used to put Wayne Arendse on him to sharpen his skills and help him learn how to deal with big defenders. Wayne contributed a lot to his game. What a show I enjoyed in those weekly tactical sessions," concluded South African football's most decorated coach.

Billiat responded to Mosimane's kind words by tweeting:

Let's reminisce over Khama Billiat's days at Mamelodi Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane's tutelage:
