The story
Orlando Pirates are ready to take on their first opponents on their pre-season tour to Spain as they face former Premier League side Bolton Wanderers.
Abdeslam Ouaddou has put his charges through their paces since they touched down in Marbella, with the camp looking positive and determined to have a successful 2025/26 season.
One player who'll be eager to impress Ouaddou and the Happy People after a mixed 2024/25 campaign is Patrick Maswanganyi.
"Tito" will be sporting a new look, braids, for the start of the upcoming season, having switched up from a messy, high-top fade last month.
Maswanganyi's short, Pop Smoke-styled braids have earned him the nickname "Travis Scott." SuperSportBet and presenter Thomas Mlambo caught a moment between Sipho Mbule and Maswanganyi, where the Pirates newbie referred to Tito as "Travis Scott."
When quizzed by Mlambo about being nicknamed after the "Goosebumps" hitmaker, Tito mentioned that it's more than just about his new hairstyle.
"Yes, Travis Scott is my new nickname. I just like him a lot, I play his music a lot, that's why they call me Travis Scott," shared the Bafana Bafana attacking midfielder.
Tito also confirmed that the braids will be his look for the season. "It's something I wanted to do in the off-season, it's going to be my look for the season, I'm very happy about it, [inspired by] Travis Scott," he told Mlambo.
