With Kaizer Chiefs actively working to streamline their squad ahead of the upcoming season, newly established Siwelele FC have emerged as a potential destination for one of Amakhosi's players.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Chiefs are preparing to release several players who don't feature in their plans for the 2025/26 campaign, including a winger with one year remaining on his contract.

Sources close to both clubs have now indicated that Siwelele FC, who recently acquired SuperSport United's status, are believed to have inquired about former Bloemfontein Celtic winger Tebogo Potsane.
"Most of the players at SuperSport United which Siwelele FC bought are running out on their (respective) contracts and the club is looking at reinforcing with new players. They have enquired about Tebogo Potsane from Kaizer Chiefs. The club has already started their training in Johannesburg and they are believed to have seen that they need a player like Potsane in the team and that's why they have enquired about him," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second insider stated that Potsane features on Chiefs' potential departure list, despite having a year remaining on his current deal.

"He is one players who the club is believed to have been looking at in terms of releasing or loaning out, as (at the moment) he is not in the coach's plans with the arrival of new players at the team. Now that it's believed that Siwelele FC are interested in him, that would work well for Chiefs in their plans," the second insider told the Siya crew.
The 31-year-old former Royal AM winger joined Chiefs in 2023 on a three-year contract that runs until June 30, 2026, according to the insiders. However, he has not made as many official appearances for the Glamour Boys as he would've ideally wanted since his arrival.
Soccer Laduma reached out to Kaizer Chiefs for comment, but there was no response at the time of publishing.
