The story
Lehlohonolo Seema's Siwelele FC suffered their first defeat of the 2025/26 season in a narrow 1-0 loss away to newly-promoted outfit, Orbit College.
A 73rd-minute winner from striker Letsie Koapeng was enough to hand the Mswenko Boys all three points, knocking Siwelele off their perch after their comfortable opening match win over Golden Arrows.
Despite a disappointing evening for Siwelele, the supporters, clad in the club's colours of green, white and black, sang loudly and proudly in backing the players.
Minister of Sports, Arts & Culture, Gayton McKenzie, added his presence to the vibrant Siwelele away support in Soweto.
His attendance came as a show of support for the club owned by his son, Calvin Le'John, who purchased SuperSport United after the conclusion of the 2024/25 season and subsequently rebranded it as Siwelele FC.
Le'John is also the chairman of the club and has kept Stan Matthews on as CEO.
McKenzie was seen interacting with fans and soaking up the electric matchday vibe, with his appearance seemingly well-received by Siwelele faithful.
