The story
In a unique set-up, former Bafana and Leeds United skipper Lucas Radebe sat down for a one-on-one interview with his oldest son, TikTok sensation, Ofentse "Primo 9teen" Baloyi.
"Rhoo" opened up to Primo the lengths he had to go to for pap and wors while at Leeds, doing his best to avoid the British staple, a Sunday roast.
Radebe's chat with Primo not only saw him share stories from not only his playing days, but also his life after football, creating content on TikTok and spending time with his family among other topics.
Having spent over a decade in Yorkshire, it comes as no surprise that Radebe missed a lot about home, with local food being at the top of his list.
"That's the first thing you miss [food]. And the little things, just to say, 'Heita, shap hoozet,' you miss all of that. The food, because we take it for granted hey, little things like skopas and atchar," shared Radebe, stating that it was important for him to remember his identity while away.
"I tried to give them pap because I used to 'smuggle' pap. I used to smuggle pap and wors," said Radebe when it came to him sharing his culture with people in Leeds.
