The story
Kaizer Chiefs dropped a transfer surprise for their supporters by officially announcing the signing of versatile midfielder Lebohang Maboe, making him their 10th addition for the ongoing 2025/26 season.
The 30-year-old returns to Naturena having previously come through the club's youth development system, with his professional journey seeing him feature for Maritzburg United, Mamelodi Sundowns, and most recently, SuperSport United on loan from Masandawana.
During his time at the Brazilians, he enjoyed success by lifting an impressive nine major trophies, including seven league titles. He made 183 appearances, scored 20 goals, and provided 23 assists for the Tshwane giants.
The announcement of Maboe's return to his boyhood club has added to the excitement of Wednesday night's Betway Premiership humdinger against Masandawana at the FNB Stadium.
