The story
Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker, Khama Billiat made a return to South African shores to fulfill his international duties with the Zimbabwe men's national team in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Billiat made an inspired return to the Warriors set-up by scoring Zimbabwe's winner in their 1-0 win over Namibia last week, which was followed by a 3-1 win in the return fixture on Monday at the Orlando Stadium.
The 34-year-old, who's now plying his trade in his home country with Yadah FC, reflected on his stint at Kaizer Chiefs in a interview with journalist, Mhlengi Ngcobo.
In his chat with Ngcobo, Billiat looked back on his time in the PSL with Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns and Amakhosi, where scored 95 goals in over 350 matches.
During his four-year spell at Chiefs, Billiat was one of the most talked about players in the league. His salary came in to question, while his lavish lifestyle drew ire from supporters who were left underwhelmed with his performances on the pitch.
When questioned about his relationship with his ex-teammates and whether his time in the spotlight created any tension in the Chiefs camp, Billiat had nothing but positive thoughts about his former colleagues and environment at Naturena.
"I had a great relationship with all of them, they're great people. I feel like it was more from the outside, whereby people speak and try and divide the changing room in a way. But, it was so good.
"At training, it was great. We'd also be out there together. We used to visit each other and chill, maybe I didn't see it [negativity energy towards him], it was just normal," shared Billiat in his interview with Ngcobo.

The baller also spoke about his dramatic departure from the club and how the injuries and mounting pressure from the public became too much to handle.
