The story
Kaizer Chiefs stars, Gaston Sirino, Aden McCarthy, Bruce Bvuma and Zitha Kwinika all marked the conclusion of their 2024/25 seasons with reflection posts on Instagram.
Chiefs concluded the season on a low, having finished outside the top eight of the Betway Premiership for the second successive season, for the first time in the club's history.
Amakhosi's 1-1 draw at home to Polokwane City saw Nasreddine Nabi's men finish the league campaign in ninth place, which came with a winless run of eight games (five defeats, three draws).
Despite their persistent struggles in the Premiership, Chiefs won a trophy for the first time in a decade. A few weeks ago, they secured the 2025 Nedbank Cup title, defeating Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the final held at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Sirino, Bvuma, Kwinika, and McCarthy (who made his debut in the penultimate league match of the season) acknowledged the campaign's highs and lows and promised an improved effort next season.
