What's the story?
In what was a lead-up to their 2-1 defeat against Chippa United on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Amakhosi did their environmental work by helping out with a beach clean.
Working with the eThekwini Municipality, The clean-up focused on the Marine Museum car park, around Durban Harbour, and along South Beach.

Municipal workers also took their photo opportunity with the players who were helping out with the clean-up.

As stated on the club's website, Amakhosi's commitment to community projects and environmental responsibility, was evident last Friday.
The clean-up campaign was led by eThekwini Deputy Mayor and chairperson of the Human Settlements and Infrastructure Committee, Philani Mavundla.
The campaign was centered around creating awareness for clean beaches.
The eThekwini Municipality also launched a Marine Walk Campaign in South Beach, to not only create the aforementioned awareness, but also to look ahead to Marine Week happening in the second week of the month.

Players such as Eric Mathoho, Itumeleng Khune and Njabulo Ngcobo were hard at work in orange overalls, cleaning up in one of KZN's busiest regions.
"Even though we are a football club, we recognise that we still live in the same world as everybody, so we welcome opportunities such as this to perform our civic duty to maintain and improve the environment for the benefit of all," said Amakhosi Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung, on the club's website.
