Reaction to Rayners goals

Iqraam Rayners has been the talk of the town after his record-equalling feat to help Stellenbosch to a 5-0 victory at home over Polokwane City.

The in-form striker is only the second player to score five goals in a DStv Premiership match, a milestone initially accomplished by Zambian James Chamanga for Moroka Swallows in 2007.

Rayners scored three times with his right foot and twice with his left, seeing him soar to the top of the DStv Premiership scorers chart with 13 goals, two more than his closest rivals, Tshegofatso Mabasa and Lucas Ribeiro Costa.

The ex-SuperSport United bagged four times in a 17-minute blitz, after opening the scoring in the 17th minute, with his scoring frenzy beginning midway through the second stanza at the Danie Craven Stadium.
