The story

On Valentine's Day, many South Africans exchange flowers, cards, stuffed animals, and treats as symbols of love and affection.

Although some see it as a global commercialised holiday, the occasion is also well known for its origins that trace back to Roman history, with ties to Saint Valentine.

V-Day is not only a chance to ask someone out, but also to strengthen a bond with a partner, spend quality time with family and friends, or even just enjoy a little self-love.

For Betway Premiership clubs, especially Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, it serves as reminder to them to show their love to supporters and staff members within their organisations.

Masandawana treated a lucky couple to an unreal matchday experience when they took on the Buccaneers last Saturday, while Amakhosi made a lovely gesture to their female employees.
