The story

George Maluleka paid a visit to the institution that allowed him to become a professional footballer.

"Mido" headed to the TuksSport High School, the place where he finished his education before chasing his dream.

The 36-year-old, who currently plies his trade in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with Kruger United, was joined by his wife Larelle in visiting their alma mater, where they revisited the school’s impressive High Performance Centre.

Maluleka met Larelle (a former swimmer) at the school and broke through the University of Pretoria's professional side in the 2006/07 season, before making the switch to SuperSport United.

Throughout his career, the former AmaZulu baller won five league titles with SuperSport United, Kaizer Chiefs, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

He also lifted the Nedbank Cup during his time with Sundowns. He also has two MTN8 crowns to his name and was twice honoured with the MTN8 Last Man Standing award – recognising the tournament’s best player – while representing both Chiefs and Sundowns.

"We are Tuks Tuks Tuks academy, almost 20 years, and we got time to go home. Thank you for changing our lives," wrote Larelle in captioning her post of their visit to the Tuks School.
