Oh No! Mason Mount Gets It Wrong With Burberry ‘Fit At Black Panther Premier

Oh No! Mason Mount Gets It Wrong With Burberry ‘Fit At Black Panther Premier

Chelsea's England star shocked the red carpet with an interesting Burberry look at the new Black Panther movie premier.

Check it out!

What's the story?

Chelsea baller Mason Mount showcased quite the look at the European premier of the latest Black Panther film.

Mount shared the red carpet with the star-studded cast for the film that hits theatres on 11 November.

Unfortunately for the Chelsea star, he failed to meet expectations with his overwhelming Burberry look.

Mason Mount fails the drip test

The usually stylish midfielder struggled to pull of this overwhelming outfit at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premier.

Dressed by luxury British fashion house Burberry, Mount wore a OVERSIZED brown brown blazer and trousers, made with a heavy wool material and bulky brown and black kicks.

Although the oversized look has made its way back into the trendy fashion forecast, Mount and peeps at Burberry made him look like a child cosplaying as a grown up dressed for work.

The idea of the look is clear to see, the intention of having trousers crash onto bulky kicks has been well executed by the most stylish fashion figures such as Bella Hadid and fellow professional footballer Hector Bellerin.

Oversized suits may have millennial fashion heads grimace and give them cringe-worthy flashbacks of untailored suits worn NBA draft picks in the early 2000s, but the fashion world is slowly trying to move away from the tighly-cut suits that have been popularized in the late 2010s onwards.

The cut of the suit is meant to be oversized, but the overall cut of it just wasn't right for Mount's size and stature.

The outfit wears him, instead of him owning the look. The poor cut makes it seem as if it was a last minute fitting to get him ready for the lights and cameras of a movie premier red carpet.

The fabric is good, Burberry do tend to pay homage to materials you'd see from the country side of England, especially with the unforgiving UK winter.

It's safe to say, the stylists at Burberry did Mount dirty, with better planning and tailoring, this could've set Mount among football fashion's elite.

Maybe next time Mase.
