Trendiest Local Brands Among DStv Premiership Footballers

When it comes to local fashion among the DStv Premiership fraternity, there's two streetwear brands that standout.

What's the story?

Local footballers and legends alike don't always opt for local fashion brands when styling themselves but when they do, El Dambie and Stafsetu tend to feature. 

Big football fashion names like Sekhukhune United's Linda Mntambo and Teko Modise have been spotted wearing these local brands, who may be different but do share the same streetwear lane.

Let's take a closer look at the ballers who wear El Dambie and Stafsetu.

Stafsetu

This Meadowlands-based clothing label is regularly worn by muses Linda Mntambo and Kaizer Chiefs starlet, Mduduzi Shabalala.

Stafsetu works with regular streetwear silhouettes and staples such as hoodies, logo t-shirts, crew neck sweaters, caps and bucket hats. 

Ballers such as Makhehlene Makhaula, Mlungisi Mbunjana and Sundowns goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse have rocked some vibrant pieces from the brand. 

Xola Mlambo and Pirates legend Happy Jele have also appreciated Stafsetu's steez.

El Dambie

El Dambie Clothing boasts some of biggest names in South African football among its admirers. 

Bafana Bafana legends such as Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Teko Modise have all dripped out in El Dambie's waviest garments.

El Dambie's range is nice and wide, which what you'll see from many of the biggest streetwear brands in South Africa like Sol Sol, Grade Africa or Wanda Lephoto. 

From comfort wear to eye-catching pants and jiggy two-pieces, El Dambie has also been worn by Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove, AmaZulu's Pule Ekstein, Sundowns' Teboho Mokoena and the aforementioned Makhaula.
