The story
Charlton Athletic cult heroes, Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish will make a return to their old stomping ground this Saturday afternoon.
Both Fish and Bartlett represented the Addicks in the early 2000s, making 109 and 137 appearances respectively in a period the club describes as their glory years.
The legendary South African duo will be heading to South-East London this week and make a heroes return to The Valley when Charlton take on Birmingham City in England's third tier.
As announced by Charlton's Instagram page last month, Bartlett and Fish will be presented to The Valley crowd at half-time this Saturday and will hope to inspire Nathan Jones' side to get all three points against the EFL League One table toppers.
In making the announcement, the club took their fans on a trip down memory lane, throwing it back to their seven-year stint in the English Premier League.
The club shared visuals of their legendary South African stars tearing it up in the Premier League, revisiting Fish's two goals for the Addicks and four out of Bartlett's 27 goals for the storied London outfit.
