The story
Bafana Bafana served up a feast at a jam-packed DHL Stadium as Hugo Broos' men delivered a near-perfect performance, dominating a hapless South Sudan 3-0 on Tuesday evening.
Coach Hugo Broos' unstoppable side concluded a their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier campaign unbeaten, managing four wins and two draws on their way to top Group K.
Bafana have not only repaid the nation's growing faith in them, but also continued to show how tight they've become as a unit, building from their bronze medal finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast.
One could also see Bafana's strong sense of togetherness in the goal celebrations, which also includes the players on the bench. Club loyalties are shifted aside for a unified purpose.
The senior men's national team have been in celebratory mode since Friday's 2-0 win over Uganda in Kampala, where they were given cake at the team hotel to commemorate back-to-back qualifications for AFCON.
Tuesday's clash also brought about skipper, Ronwen Williams' 50th cap for Bafana and the in-form shot-stopper was handed a jersey with the number '50' on the front to mark his milestone appearance.
