Panorama FC Crowned New Boys’ Champions As UJ Ladies Return To Glory At The 2025 Engen Knockout Challenge

The curtains closed on an action-packed 2025 Engen Knockout Challenge Gauteng leg this weekend, with a new wave of champions etching their names into provincial history. Panorama FC and the University of Johannesburg Ladies lifted the trophies in the boys’ and girls’ divisions respectively, after an intense three days of top-tier football at Marks Park.

The tournament brought together Gauteng’s finest under-18 boys and under-20 girls’ teams, all chasing the dream of representing their province on the national stage.

In the boys’ division, Panorama FC rose to the occasion in a high-tempo final, sealing a 2–1 victory to clinch their first Engen Knockout Challenge title.

In the girls’ final, University of Johannesburg delivered a clinical performance, edging JVW 1–0 to reclaim the Engen Knockout Challenge title after narrowly missing out in 2024.

This year’s theme, “It’s Your Moment, Future Diski Legends”, rang true as new heroes emerged and lifelong memories were made. The Engen Knockout Challenge once again highlighted why it remains the gold standard for grassroots football development in South Africa.

Both Panorama FC and the University of Johannesburg will now represent Gauteng at the prestigious Engen Champ of Champs, set for October 2025
