Sundowns & Pirates Pull Away From Chiefs

TS Galaxy 0-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates won their third game in a row after beating TS Galaxy 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Mohau Nkota eventually broke the deadlock for Pirates just after the hour-mark and Jabulani Mokone secured the three points for Joseph Makhanya's charges in the last minute.

The Buccaneers are just a point behind log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in second place on the table.

Royal AM 2-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs lost further ground on table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Royal AM on Sunday morning at Chatsworth Stadium.

Amakhosi dropped points for the second consecutive game, they fell five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in second place.

Thwihli Thwahla remained in 12th spot on the table with 11 points.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 AmaZulu

Mamelodi Sundowns retained their spot at the top of the table after edging AmaZulu 2-1 on Saturday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sundowns remained a point clear of second-placed placed Orlando Pirates after winning their seventh game in eight matches.

Usuthu dropped down to second-from-bottom on the table.

Richards Bay 5-3 Polokwane City

Richards Bay ended their five-game winless in emphatic fashion after hammering Polokwane City 5-3 on Saturday morning at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

It was a day to remember for striker Ntlonelo Bomelo, who scored all the five goals for the Natal Rich Boys.

Cape Town Spurs 3-1 SuperSport United

SuperSport United were denied their third consecutive victory after a 3-1 defeat to Cape Town Spurs on Sunday morning at UWC Sports Stadium.

Matsatsantsa dropped down to tenth on the table with 12 points while Spurs moved up to sixth with 16 points.

Golden Arrows 1-3 Stellenbosch

In-form Stellenbosch won their fifth game in six matches after thrashing Golden Arrows 3-1 on Saturday morning at Chatsworth Stadium.

Ahmed and Johannesen gave Stellies a two-goal cushion before the interval and Roy-Keane Avontuur put the game to bed for the visitors early in the second stanza.

Siboniso Mtshali scored a consolation goal for Arrows in stoppage time.

Sekhukhune United 3-1 Cape Town City

Sekhukhune United went up to fourth on the table after drubbing Cape Town City 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Samkele Sihlali, Mokoena and Chabangu all netted for Babina Noko in the second stanza.
