The Unversity of Pretoria suffered their first defeat of the MDC campaign, after they went down 1-0 at the hands of Free State Stars at the Tuks Stadium.
The only goal of the game arrived in the 31st minute thanks to a strike from Thabo Maya.
AmaTuks missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, while Ea Lla Koto moved up to 12th in the table.
Maritzburg United 1-0 SuperSport United
Maritzburg United leapfrogged SuperSport United in the MDC standings, after they secured a narow 1-0 win at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
The winning goal arrived in the 61st minute thanks to a glancing header from Happy Mashau.
However, Mashau's day ended on a sour note, after he was given his marching orders, after picking up his yellow card three minutes after scoring.
