Chiefs Reclaim Top Spot, Bucs Bounce Back

TS Galaxy 0-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs reclaimed top spot on the DStv Diski Challenge table with a 1-0 win over TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs started the day in second spot after Stellenbosch registered an important win on Saturday morning.

However, a solitary strike from substitute Manqoba Ozoemena in the 76th minute was enough to hand Chiefs maximum points on the day.

Stellenbosch FC kept their title hopes alive with a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Richards Bay FC on Saturday morning.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit raced into a two-goal lead thanks to a first-half brace from Ntlonelo Bomelo.

However, the defending champions hit back in the second half courtesy of goals from Kenan Johannesen, Typon Smith and an own goal from Sbangani Zulu.

Orlando Pirates got back to winning ways in the Diski Challenge after defeating Polokwane City 1-0 on Sunday morning.

Mmatlou Sepale bagged the only goal of the game for the Buccaneers from the penalty spot on the stroke of halftime.

Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 Chippa United

Mamelodi Sundowns put on a rampant display after thrashing Chippa United on Sunday morning.

Thato Sibiya put the Brazilians ahead in the 30th minute.

Sundowns took complete control in the second half after Onele Rulwana, Kutlwano Letlhaku and Bennet Mokoena completed the rout.
