Chiefs, Pirates Drop Points As Downs Extend Lead Atop

Kaizer Chiefs dropped down to fourth on the table after they rescued a 1-1 draw against Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Shakeel April broke the deadlock for the Citizens on 67 minutes but Neo Bohloko levelled matters for Amakhosi in stoppage time.

SuperSport United 3-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates' three-game winning run came to an end after a 1-1 draw against SuperSport United on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Mpumelelo Ndaba opened the scoring for Pirates on 16 minutes but Sifiso Mazibuko levelled matters for Matsatsantsa.

Thabang Makubo put Thabo September's charges ahead in stoppage time and Siviwe Magidigidi sealed the three points deep in added time.

Mamelodi Sundowns extended their lead at the top of the table to four points after beating Sekhukhune United 2-0 on Sunday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The Brazilians won their seventh game in eight matches as they pulled four points clear of second-placed Orlando Pirates.

AmaZulu 0-1 Stellenbosch

In-form Stellenbosch leapfrogged Kaizer Chiefs up to third on the table after edging AmaZulu 1-0 on Sunday morning at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Mervin Boji's goal on 24 minutes was enough to give Stellies their sixth win in their last seven games.

Moroka Swallows 0-2 Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows won only their third game of the season after beating Moroka Swallows 2-0 on Saturday morning at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Samukele Mlaba broke the deadlock for Arrows on the stroke of half-time and sealed the three points with the second goal and got his brace with 19 minutes remaining.

TS Galaxy 2-2 Richards Bay

Richards Bay extended their unbeaten run to three matches after salvaging a 2-2 draw against TS Galaxy on Saturday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.

Ntlonelo Bomelo opened the scoring for the Natal Rich Boyz on 13 minutes and the Rockets found the equaliser 13 minutes later.

Richards Bay were reduced to ten men early in the second stanza after Thabiso Dlamini was red-carded.

The Rockets went ahead with four minutes to go but Nkosikhona Ndaba equalised for the Natal Rich Boyz in the last minute.
