Relegated Cape Town City finished the PSL promotion play-offs without a win following a 1-1 draw against Casric Stars on Monday afternoon.

City interim coach Diogo Peral handed a professional debut to goalkeeper Luca Diana-Oliaro while Shakeel April, Jody Ah Shene and the returning Luphumlo Sifumba recalled to the starting line-up.
The Citizens got off to the perfect start after opening the scoring after two minutes as Ah Shene marked his return to the starting line-up to with a neat finish from close range.
Stars managed to get back on level terms in the 17th minute when Decided Chauke picked up the ball ahead of Lorenzo Gordinho before racing clear and firing past Diana-Oliaro from six yards out.
The home side enjoyed more of the possession as the first half went on, but they had to wait until the 38th minute for another opening when Ah Shene saw his goal-bound strike blocked after rounding goalkeeper Tshigwana Mthombeni
City made a triple switch ten minutes after the break to freshen up the team, as Emile Witbooi, Tahir Goedeman and Luyolo Slatsha replaced April, Sifumba and Tshegofatso Nyama.
Stars also re-shuffled their pack soon after as Kermit Erasmus was introduced upfront while Thabang Semache and Simon Moukete were also thrown onto the field for the latter stages of the half.
Stars looked to catch the home side out after 77 minutes when Mlungisi Zwane was left un-marked 12 yards out, however the winger sent his first-time volley over the crossbar although he had more time to take a touch and get his shot away.
In the end, neither side were able to find the winning goal as City must prepare for life in the Motsepe Foundation Championship along with Stars.
