The Cairo-based side go into their encounter with the Buccaneers full of confidence after easily dispatching Ismaily 3-0 in a league encounter played yesterday, July 7.
Zamalek extended their lead at the top of the Egyptian Premier League to six points over second placed rivals Al Ahly. The White Knights also have a game in hand over their rivals and are closing in on their first league title since 2004, needing only four more points from their next four games to secure it.
The Egyptians will certainly be in a confident mood heading into their encounter with Pirates however, they will be without the services of a host of injured players including Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Genesh, Ahmed Dewidar, Hazem Emam, Ahmed Ali and Youssef 'Obama'.
