Soccer Laduma rates the individual performances of the Orlando Pirates and AS Kaloum players, following the Buccaneers's 4-1 win at the Bidvest Stadium. Orlando Pirates Ratings: Brighton Mhlongo: 6 It proved to be a quiet afternoon for the Pirates shot-stopper but he could have positioned himself better for the Kaloum goal. Rooi Mahamutsa: 6 Looked solid at the heart of the defence for large pasts of the game. Happy Jele: 7 Shifted to the center of defence once again and hardly put a foot wrong. Ntikelelo Nyauza: 6 Looked solid on the right side of the defence, although he hardly managed to get forward. Thabo Matlaba: 7 Put in an impressive showing at left-back, was a real threat going forward as well. Issa Sarr: 7 The Senegalese midfielder was solid in the heart of the midfield and broke down a few Kaloum attacks. Oupa Manyisa: 7 The skipper put in an impressive second half showing, and contributed with two lovely assists. Thabo Rakhale: 7 Showed up in glimpses of the game, and struck the upright in the first half with a powerful shot. Sifiso Myeni: 7 Was very quiet in the first half, but saw more of the ball in the second stanza and popped up with an impressive goal. Kermit Erasmus: 7 Put in a fine showing upfront, managed to get himself on the score-sheet with a well-taken finish, while he also picked up an assist. Thamsanqa Gabuza: 8 Re-payed Eric Tinkler's faith with two well-taken goals, while he also picked an up assist for the first goal. An all-round impressive showing on the day. Substitutes: Lennox Bacela: 6 Replaced Gabuza midway through the second half but hardly made an impact. Lehlohonolo Majoro: 6 Brought on in the 70th minute but failed to make the desired impact. Thabo Qalinge: NA Was not on the field long enough to receive a rating. AS Kaloum Ratings: Youssouf Toure: 6 Spent most of the game taking the ball out of the net, but could have done better with Gabuza's second goal. Alseny Bangoura: 6 Looked solid in the first half, while he hardly put a foot wrong in the second half. Babacar Camara: 6 Not the best of afternoons for Camara, who struggled to deal with the pace and power of Gabuza. Ben Adamah Banh: 6 Didn't look comfortable against the pace Erasmus and Gabuza and Kaloum were punished. Alseny 'Cantona' Camara: 6 Most of Pirates' attacks came down his flank and he struggled against Myeni in the second half. Aboubacar Sylla: 6 Failed to make his presence felt in the middle and was overrun by the Pirates midfield. Mandala Konte: 6 Didn't offer much in the opening stages but was substituted before the halftime break with an injury. Mamdou Kouyate: 6 Was left frustrated by Sarr throughout his cameo and was eventually replaced in the second half. Moussa Diawara: 6 Failed to offer anything on the flanks and his final ball was lacking. Alseny 'Agogo' Camara: 7 Proved to be a tricky customer and popped up with a nice headed goal in the second half. Kabongo Kassongo: 6 Had a bit of joy in the second half but was often caught offside by the assistant. Substitutes: Ibrahima Sony Soumah: 6 Replaced Konte in the first half but hardly made an impact. Mohamed Thiam: 6 Brought on midway through the second half but failed influence anything in the final third. Cheick Oumar Balo: NA Was not on the field long enough to receive a rating.
