Cavin Johnson Wants A Better CAF Referee This Weekend

Cavin Johnson Wants A Better CAF Referee This Weekend
Cavin Johnson is confident that Platinum Stars can overturn Vipers SC's lead in the CAF Confederation Cup this weekend, and is hoping for a 'better referee'.   Read: Only One South African Winner In CAF   Dikwena lost 1-0 to the Ugandan side in Buikwe in the first leg of their first round game, although their head coach believes that they were hard done by by the referee, and that the pitch wasn't up to scratch.
With Vipers now travelling to South Africa for the second leg on Saturday, Johnson is adamant that his side will play better at home, and that they will have a better man in the middle.   Speaking to the media after the first leg, Johnson said, "I don't think the football field is a field for playing this type of competition. For future maybe it will get better. For the support and other things well done to Vipers. They won and we're happy to go home with 1-0. We know back home, we will have a different plan. We will play better football and hopefully we will have a better ref as well.   "We held the ball, we went forward but when we tried to do something, it stopped. For what it's worth, I think we had few chances. When we were about to score or take an attempt the whistle went off. We can overcome those things when we are at home."   He also had a few words for the travelling Ugandans, saying, "When you get to South Africa, be prepared to play on a better pitch and better referee. I thought the refereeing was not good but that's how football is. You win some and you lose some."   Stars host Vipers on Saturday as they look to try and book their place in the next round of the CCC.
