Bucs To Register New Players For CAF Action

Orlando Pirates' new signings in goalkeeper Felipe Ovono, midfielder Gift Motupa and striker Tendai Ndoro are set to be registered for the CAF Confederation Cup. Bucs' New Recruits On Joining The Soweto Giants The trio made the switch to Parktown last week and will be looking to add value to an already impressive Buccaneers squad that has taken the CAF competition by storm thus far. A Soccer Laduma source close to the team said that management is looking at which players to register in order to replace players like the late Senzo Meyiwa, departed Daine Klate and veteran Lucky Lekgwathi, who could retire. "Things will change now that the other players have been signed. They want to register some of those players who have just joined the team. The registration opened today and there's a chance to register Ovono, Motupa and Ndoro but they are yet to decide who it will be," the source observed. Former Platinum Stars duo, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Tshepo Gumede could also form part of the Bucs squad for Africa as earlier reported by the Siya crew. The Buccaneers initially registered 25 players however has seen the likes of Klate exit the club to join Bidvest Wits. Helder Pelembe and Philani Zakalala have also been reported to be on their way out which could open more space in the team.
