Mamelodi Sundowns will be able to submit a provisional list of 35 players to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, which will see the likes of Sibusiso Vilakazi and Anele Ngcongca able to take part in the competition.
Both Ngcongca and Vilakazi played no part in Sundowns' CAF Champions League campaign.
'Vila' as well as Yannick Zakri were unfortunately cup-tied during the competition, due to formally plying their trade for Bidvest Wits and ASEC Mimosas respectively, who were also competing in the Champions League at the time.
Ngcongca, on the other hand, joined Masandawana during the final hours of the transfer window, and days later, sustained a minor knee injury during training, that made him unavailable for all competitions and was not eligible to be registered for CAF.

Another player is Brazailian, Ricardo Nascimento who joined Sundowns during the off-season. However, the club opted against registering the player for the competition.
Now, according to the FIFA Regulations for the Club World Cup, that will take place in Japan in December, the CAF Champions League champions will be able to register a maximum of 35 players for the competition, which will see the likes of Vila and Ngcongca able to play their part.
"Each participating club shall send a provisional list of 35 players (a minimum of four of whom shall be goalkeepers)," the FIFA Regulations states.
